Colchester County RCMP investigate armed robbery, Stewiacke, N.S.

Colchester County RCMP are investigating an armed robbery that occurred late last night. Shortly before midnight, RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at a gas station in Stewiacke.

Shortly before midnight, RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at a gas station in Stewiacke.

Preliminary investigation determined that a lone male armed with what appeared to be a firearm entered the Stewiacke Ultramar and ordered the lone employee to open the till. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money, some cigarettes and lotto tickets before fleeing on foot. The Police Dog Service attended the scene and a search of the area was negative. No one was hurt.

The male suspect is described as approximately 5’7 – 5’10, stocky build with a darker complexion, wearing a dark winter jacket and dark toque.
