Colchester District RCMP arrested six impaired drivers over the April 1 weekend; an unusually large number for the area.
Between Friday evening and Sunday afternoon, RCMP members from Bible Hill and Millbrook arrested a total of six impaired drivers, including:
· a 75-year-old man involved in collision in Millbrook on April 2 at 2:43 p.m.
· a 21-year-old man stopped near Alton on April 2 at 10:52 p.m.
· a 43-year-old woman with a 4-year-old child in the car, stopped near Great Village on April 2 at 11:14 p.m.
· a 21-year-old man stopped near Truro Heights on April 2 at 11:54 p.m.
· a 39-year-old man stopped near Stewiacke on April 2 at 12:39 a.m.
· a 34-year-old man involved in a collision near Halfway Brook on April 3 at 10:51 a.m.
Nova Scotia RCMP wishes to remind the public that impaired driving is one of the leading causes of serious and fatal motor vehicle collisions within Nova Scotia. Please drive sober and if you believe a motorist could be impaired, call 911.
