The Nova Scotia Securities Commission has issued a temporary cease trade order against Michael A. Harrigan.
Mr. Harrigan is a former dealing representative, but he is no longer registered with the commission.
He appears to have violated Nova Scotia securities laws by trading in securities without being registered.
The commission has ordered Mr. Harrigan to cease acting as a registered representative and cease trading in securities for anyone other than himself for a period of 15 days or until otherwise ordered by the commission.
The commission urges Nova Scotians to exercise extreme caution when dealing with individuals or firms that are not registered in Nova Scotia.
It is illegal to solicit investments in Nova Scotia without registering with the Nova Scotia Securities Commission and complying with Nova Scotia securities laws.
To see if a company or person is registered, visit the CSA National Registration Search or file a complaint with the commission.
