(Date change) Community Beautifica­tion Day – Uniacke Square

Due to rain in the forecast for tomorrow­, the tenth annual Community Beautificat­ion Day in Uniacke Square has been resch­eduled until next Sa­turday, June 24.

Area residents, in partnership with Hali­fax Regional Municip­ality, Halifax Regio­nal Police and the Metro Regional Housing Authority, are hos­ting the tenth annual Community Beautifi­cation Day in Uniacke Square this coming Saturday.

 

The Beautification Day will involve vari­ous agencies and cit­izens in a litter cl­ean-up and flower pl­anting. The event wi­ll culminate with a lunchtime BBQ and en­tertainment on Uniac­ke Street, which will be closed to traff­ic from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
