Quarter Note Singers Community Choir
Always wanted to sing in a choir? This is a friendly and inviting community choir for men and women who are new to choirs, or experienced singers who want a choir that is not too demanding of their time and commitments. Singers help one another out, and sometimes practice together. We sing a variety of popular, Broadway, folk songs, with a bit of classical or jazz.We put on two concerts a year, and also a couple of smaller performances wearing your comfortable choir robe in the community. Sometimes small ensembles are formed by singers who want an extra challenge and an opportunity to “strut their stuff”.
Thinking of joining a choir? Come once or twice to try it out and see how you like it. New singers are welcome at the beginning of each new season, September and January. Practice recordings are provided on request.
Practices are Thursdays 7:00 – 9:00. We meet at the Captain William Spry Community Centre, 16 Sussex Street (Spryfield) Halifax. Our first practise of the season will be on Thursday, September 13th. Please come and join us!
