Police pursuing bike-bound bank bandit

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery that occurred in Halifax on December 4th.

At approximately 11:20 a.m., officers responded to a robbery that occurred at the Toronto Dominion (TD) Bank located at 6239 Quinpool Road in Halifax. A man entered the bank and handed a note to the teller. The suspect then fled the area on a bicycle, northbound on Monastery Lane, with a quantity of money. The employee was not physically injured.

The suspect is described as a white man, 40 to 50-years-old and approximately 6’ tall. At the time, the suspect was wearing a bright neon yellow/green toque, a black winter jacket, dark blue pants with horizontal, high visibility yellow and silver reflectors around each leg, gloves and his face was covered with a medical mask. The suspect was also carrying a red reusable bag.
