Three people face drug charges as a result of the investigation into
the Clifton Street homicide.
 
Over the last 36 hours, officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated
Major Crime, General Investigation Section and Drug Unit conducted three
searches as part of the investigation into the murder of Corey Lucas.
The first two searches utilized the HRP and RCMP Emergency Response
Teams and took place at 5 a.m. yesterday morning at residences on Willet
Street in Halifax and Kelly Point Drive in Prospect. One person was
arrested at the first location and seven people were arrested and
quantities of cocaine, marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia were
seized at the Kelly Point Drive location. Investigators spoke to a
number of these individuals about the homicide but at this time no
charges in that incident have been laid. A third search was conducted at
3 a.m. this morning on Layton Road. No one was arrested at this search.
 
Nicholas Bernard MacLellan and Jessica Ann Desrochers, both
21-years-old, face charges of drug possession for the purpose of
trafficking and drug possession. Twenty-year-old Dylan Peter Roach faces
charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking. All three
parties were arrested at the Kelly Point Drive residence and are
scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today.  The remaining
five people who were arrested were released without charges.
 
The investigation into the homicide is continuing and anyone with
