COVID-19: Man ticketed for not isolating

Yesterday, police issued a man a ticket for failing to comply with the regulations set out in the Health Protection Act.

At approximately 12:30 p.m. officers responded to a report of a man at a Halifax hotel not isolating as required by COVID-19 public health directives. Officers issued a summary offence ticket to a 59-year-old man under section 71 (1) (b) of the Health Protection Act for failing to comply with the act and its regulations, which carries a fine of $2,422.00
