Crime of the week – Halifax Regional Police investigates robbery with violence, Dartmouth, N.S.

Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving a robbery with violence.

On Sunday, January 18, 2015 at approximately 9 p.m., a female was walking along Tower Rd.

in Halifax when she noticed four males standing on the sidewalk in front of her. She continued walking past them and then heard footsteps behind her when suddenly she was pushed. One of the male suspects then pushed her up against a brick wall and began yelling at her in a foreign language. The male screamed ‘wallet’ at her and held her against the wall while the other males grabbed her purse taking a quantity of cash. She was pushed to the ground and all four suspects fled down Tower Rd. in the direction of Point Pleasant Park.

The male that held the victim against the wall was described as dark complected, approximately 5’8′ or 5’9′ tall, medium build, with a full, thick beard and wearing a dark winter jacket with white stripes down the sleeves and a dark toque.
