Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers and Pictou County District RCMP is asking for the public’s help in solving a weapons offence.

At approximately 8:15 a.m., October 18, 2014, Pictou County District RCMP responded to a weapons complaint on New Rd.

, Millsville. Preliminary investigation determined a woman, with her pet dog, was feeding her horses when she heard a gunshot nearby. Moments later a newer model jacked-up blue four-door pick-up truck, driven by a white male believed to be in his thirties, with a round face and scruffy beard wearing a camouflage jacket, sped by her pointing a long gun out the window at her as he drove past.

Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who has information about this investigation to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), text TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637), or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash reward from $50 -$2000.
