Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers and Colchester District RCMP are asking for the public’s help identifying the person or person’s responsible for the theft of furnace oil in Stewiacke East.
On February 19, 2014 at approximately 2:24 p.m., Stewiacke RCMP received a complaint involving the theft of furnace oil from a vacant residence on the R.J. Bates Road in Stewiacke East. On two separate occasions, those responsible stole furnace oil between February 8 and 18, 2014. As a result of the theft, extensive damage was caused to the residence and surrounding property.
Colchester District RCMP is asking anyone with information on this incident to contact the Bible Hill RCMP detachment at (902) 893-6820 or to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), text TIP202 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637), or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash reward from $50 -$2000.
