Halifax District RCMP has charged a man in relation to multiple offences, including uttering threats following a dispute in Glen Margaret.
On May 20, at approximately 11 a.m., Halifax District RCMP received a report of an unwanted man near a home on Westhaver Rd. in Glen Margaret. Officers learned that the home owners, a man and a woman, were disputing the land ownership where an ATV trail is located. While officers were at the scene, the man exited the home, became belligerent and uttered threats to police.
When officers advised the man he was under arrest, he fled on foot.
On May 21, the man was safely arrested during the execution of search warrant at the home on Westhaver Rd. During the search, officers seized a crossbow, crossbow bolts, a break-action air rifle and an antique muzzle loader firearm.
Craig Derek Morash, 52-years-old of Glen Margaret, has been charged with:
- Mischief
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Uttering Threats
- Escape and Being at Large Without Excuse
- Failure to Appear or to Comply with Summons
Morash was released by the Courts and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on June 21, at 9:30 a.m.
