Cumberland District RCMP investigates fatal vehicle collision

Cumberland District RCMP is investigating a fatal vehicle collision that happened yesterday.

Just after 5 p.m. yesterday, RCMP responded to a complaint of a single vehicle collision on Hwy​ 321​ in River Phillip where the vehicle left the road and struck a pole. Upon police arrival, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 48-year-old man from Springhill was found deceased.

RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene. Both lanes of the highway were closed to traffic for several hours and have since been re-opened.

The investigation is ongoing.
