Cyclist airlifted to hospital after collision with truck

Lunenburg District RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a collision on Hwy. 12 in New Ross. RCMP officers learned that a Chevrolet Silverado and a cyclist were travelling in the same direction on the highway when they collided.

The cyclist, a 27-year-old Lunenburg County man, suffered life threatening injuries and was airlifted to hospital by LifeFlight.

The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, an 83-year-old Midville Branch man, was uninjured.

The investigation is ongoing.
