Cyclist Gets Hit By Car, Then Ticketed By Police

A 17-year old cyclist was ticketed for failing to obey a traffic signal yesterday in downtown Halifax.

 

From Halifax Police:

 

“At 0848 this morning police responded to the intersection of Brunswick and Sackville in relation to a car -bicycle collision.  Upon arrival officers learned that the 17 year old operator of the bicycle failed to stop at the red light colliding with the vehicle.  She was transported to the hospital with a broken clavicle.   She was also issued a summary offense ticket for failing to obey a traffic signal.

The driver of the vehicle received some minor injuries from the broken driver’s window.”
