Injury Motor Vehicle Accident
6:10 pm Nantucket Ave/Wyse Rd Dartmouth
A 59 year old male bicyclist was traveling on Nantucket Ave towards the MacDonald Bridge. A vehicle traveling in the opposite direction made a left hand turn and the vehicle and bicycle collided. The cyclist was taken to the hospital suffering from facial injuries. The injuries were not life threatening. Traffic was shut down for a short time. There are no charges at this time.
Assault with a weapon
1:05 am Romans Ave/Bayers Rd, Halifax
A 16 and a 17 year old male were walking in the area of Bayers Rd and Romans Ave when the 16 year old male was shot in the shoulder. The victim flagged over an ambulance that happened to be passing by and he was transported to the QEII. The victim and his companion stated they did not see a suspect and were not cooperative with the investigators. The injury is not life threatening.
