A fire in a ground level apartment early this morning evacuated tenants from the building, however most of them now appear to have been allowed to return to the building.

At 12:47 a.m. HRP East patrol units assisted Halifax Regional Fire Services with an apartment building fire. Approximately 30 persons were evacuated. No injuries resulted. Fire investigators are still on scene determining the cause with the assistance of Halifax Regional Police Forensic Identification Section.
