Dartmouth convenience store robbed

Halifax Police release:

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery that occurred this morning in Dartmouth.

At approximately 4:55 a.m. officers responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred at the Needs Convenience store located at 303 Prince Albert Road. A man entered the store, produced what is believed to be a firearm and threatened a staff member before fleeing with a quantity of cash. The staff member was not physically injured.

The suspect is described as a white man, late teens to early 20s, approximately 5’6″ tall with long brown hair and brown sideburns. He was wearing a black baseball cap with white lettering, black hooded sweater with purple lettering on the front and arms, teal baseball shirt with yellow tie dye, black acid washed ripped jeans, white Nike shoes with black laces and red Nike emblem and carrying a black duffle bag with graphics. He was last seen fleeing the area on foot. 

Anyone with information about this incident, video from the area or the identity of the suspect is asked to call police at 902-490-5016.
