Dartmouth High SAVEs

To mark Earth Day, students at Dartmouth High launched a new student-led energy conservation initiative called SAVE (Schools Appreciating Valuable Energy). With the help of Nova Scotia Power, the school will measure its energy consumption in Kilowatt Hours (KWh) over a two year period. The goal is to reduce its annual power bill by about $65,000. At the end of the two years, the HRSB will return 50% of the money saved to Dartmouth High to spend as the school wishes.
