Dartmouth Set To Host Nationals

We are just over a week away from the 2010 Canadian National Senior Baseball Championships being held in Dartmouth, NS.

The teams are set, and the pools are drawn. It’s now just a matter of time until they get down to business and faceoff to determine the who is the best baseball team in the country.

The tournament kicks off next Thursday morning (Aug. 26) with one of the local favourites, the Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians, taking on the team from New Brunswick, the Fredericton Peterbilt/DQ Royals at the Halifax Mainland Commons.

The host Dartmouth Moosehead Dry will play their first game against the Windsor Stars later that evening following the championship’s opening ceremonies at 7:30 pm at Beazely Field in Dartmouth. The Championship game is schedule for Sunday evening at 8:00 pm in Dartmouth.

The field for this year’s tournament is a strong one, featuring former champions such as the defending champs, the Fort Saskathewan Athletics. The competition will be tight and promises some great baseball.

The teams have been divided into two pools as follows:
