Happy Friday! If you’re planning on driving in the city this weekend or next week, this update is for you. We have a major overnight closure on Kempt Road tomorrow morning, a two-day full closure coming to Dutch Village Road, and a new eastbound closure on Jubilee Road starting in December.

New/Upcoming HRM Work
- Kempt Road (Halifax Water – Saturday Morning): Wastewater maintenance from 12:00 AM to 10:00 AM tomorrow, Saturday, Nov 29. Expect lane reductions and stop-and-go traffic between Livingstone and Young streets.
- Dutch Village Road (Full Closures – Dec 1 & 2): Two full daytime closures are coming next week for final paving work.
- Monday, Dec 1: Closed between Rosedale Ave and Joseph Howe Drive (Southern section).
- Tuesday, Dec 2: Closed between Rosedale Ave and Supreme Court (Northern section).
- Time: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days. Detours and Halifax Transit impacts will be in place.
- Jubilee Road (Eastbound Closure – Dec 8-10): Jubilee Road will be closed to eastbound traffic only between Edward and Robie streets from Monday, Dec 8 to Wednesday, Dec 10, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m..
- Windmill Road (Halifax Water – Overnight): Geotechnical work continues on Windmill Road between Dawn Drive and Nootka Avenue. This is nightly, 6 p.m. to 7 a.m., until December 5.
- Woodlawn Road (Dartmouth – Sunday): Watch for an altered centreline between Portland Street and Valleyfield Road on Sunday, Nov 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ongoing HRM Delays
- Hwy 102 Exit 3 (Bedford): The southbound off-ramp to Hammonds Plains Road is closed weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. until December 19.
- Hwy 118 (Dartmouth): One lane reduced near Micmac until December 19.
Heading Out of Town? (Provincial Highways)
- Hwy 103 Twinning: Expect temporary lane closures for blasting on most weekdays around 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.until May 2027.
- Hwy 102 (Colchester & Hants Co.): Southbound reductions continue. Millbrook to Shortts Lake is one lane until Dec 12. Enfield section is reduced until Dec 16.
- Shubenacadie Bridge (Trunk 2): Reduced to one lane until Dec 16.
- Route 215 (Hants Co.): Reduced to one lane on Beaver Pond Road until Dec 5.
- Long-Term Bridge Closures: Slade Road, Moore’s Ford Bridge, and Welsford Bridge remain closed until further notice.
- CBRM: Overnight lane reductions on Hwy 125 and lane reductions on Trunk 4 until Dec 15. The Campbell Brook Bridge is closed until July 2026.
- Guysborough (Pirate Harbour Bridge): Reduced to one lane until Dec 20.
- Shelburne (Trunk 3): Reduced to one lane until Nov 30.
- Trunk 1 (Windsor): Reduced to one lane until further notice.
