Motorists experienced significant traffic delays on Highway 102 as a result of an accident involving a transport truck Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred near the Kearney Lake Road exit when a transport truck was cut off by an outbound car. The truck collided and became hung up on the highway divider where it slid for about 400 metres.
The driver of the truck received only minor injuries in the accident. However, the truck leaked diesel fuel onto the highway causing traffic delays.
Members of the Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency Service and representatives from the Department of the Environment assisted with the clean up.
