Digby RCMP have arrested a Digby County man wanted on sex charges by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

On Monday, May 19th, Digby RCMP arrested a 60-year-old man on sex charges relating to matters in Ontario.

The man, who was arrested without incident, was remanded into custody. Officers with the OPP are now escorting the man back to Ontario for court. He will be facing charges of Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference of a Person Under the Age of 16 years.

As part of the investigation, Digby RCMP executed a search warrant at this person’s residence and seized items that will be turned over to the OPP. The Digby Detachment are continuing their investigation and at this time it is unknown if further charges will be laid.
