Direct Halifax to Yarmouth ferry service announced

A new travel option between Halifax and Yarmouth is set to revolutionize the way we explore our beautiful province. Starting in July, Halifax Transit will be launching ferry services to Yarmouth Nova Scotia direct from Downtown Halifax. The route will operate twice a day, providing a convenient and affordable option for those looking to travel between the two coastal towns.

The journey from Halifax to Yarmouth will take approximately four hours, with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and the rugged Nova Scotia coastline. Passengers can enjoy a range of amenities onboard, including a full-service restaurant, a bar and lounge, and even a small cinema.

According to a spokesperson, the new service is aimed at boosting tourism and economic growth in both Halifax and Yarmouth. “We believe that the new ferry service will be a game-changer for Nova Scotia’s tourism industry,” they said. “Not only will it make it easier for people to explore our beautiful province, but it will also create jobs and stimulate local economies.”

The new ferry service has already received positive feedback from locals and tourists alike. “I can’t wait to take the ferry from Halifax to Yarmouth and back,” said Sarah Johnson, a Halifax resident. “It’s going to be a great way to see more of Nova Scotia and support local businesses in both cities.”

Tickets for the Halifax to Yarmouth ferry will be available in late June, with government subsidized pricing starting at just $2.50 per person for a one-way trip. With the convenience, comfort, and affordability that the new service offers, there’s never been a better time to explore all that Nova Scotia has to offer.
