Diy Pom Pom Shoe Clips

Okay I fully realize that my pom pom obsession is full blown out of control, but seriously how cute are these shoes? And with Valentine’s Day just around the corner I can think no better time to bust out my favorite heels.

Try to find some shoes with pom poms I dare you because the only ones I could drudge up were in the UK or from ASOS (and well I’ve have some experiences with their customer service that I vowed to never subject myself to again). I searched high and low, and let me tell you they do NOT exist on this side of the pond: at least not yet.
Here are some super cute examples for your pom pinteresting pleasure.

Being the stubborn (I mean resourceful) person I am I decided to take matters into my own hands, and make them myself. I knew you could get shoe clips with charms, and the like, so I figured I could just make my own pom pom variety. I could find pom poms, and I was sure I could find shoe clips, so I figured what the heck why not give it a go.
I was winging it at best since I couldn’t find anyone else that was doing the same thing, but I am beyond excited with how they turned out that I just want to wear them everyday!

To create you pom pom shoe clips you will need:

  • Pom poms (duh)
  • A hot glue gun (and glue)
  • Shoe Clips

And all you need to do is put some glue on the back on the shoe clip, and then press the pom pom into the glue until it cools.

Normally I would tell you to wait overnight or something, but I literally left the house in mine about an hour after creating them.  It’s so easy, and I am not a DIY blogger by any stretch, so this is as fancy as I get.

Hope you enjoyed this post, as much as we did!
