Halifax District RCMP continue to respond to complaints of thefts from motor vehicles. The majority of the vehicles targeted have been left unlocked with valuables inside which make it easy for would be thieves.
On Tuesday, November 21, RCMP received reports that thieves entered vehicles on the following streets;
Lower Sackville – Holland Rd.
Eastern Passage – Melrose Cr.
Timberlea – Sugar Maple Dr.
Richard St.
Brentwood Ave.
Johnson Ave.
Halifax District RCMP is asking residents to take your keys and valuables out of your vehicles and lock the doors when you get out. RCMP is also reminding residents the importance of reporting any incidents of theft from vehicles. If thefts are reported, it will enable the RCMP to increase patrols in areas that are being targeted by thieves.
