Not unlike a new baby, when you take a puppy home you want to feed the little devil the best possible food that will help them grow and live long, happy lives.
When we took little Wacko home it took a few months of trying to figure out what food she liked and what food seemed to agree with her sensitive little tummy.

I am being compensated for helping spread the word about the launch of Nutrience Subzero® in PetSmart Canada but Mommyjuiced.com only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. We tried the vet recommended brand but that was too rich (both in price and in ingredients) for us and Wacko. The brand we tried seemed to settle her stomach but has done nothing for her, ahem, gas issue.
That’s right, Wacko has a problem with gas.
Going up the stairs, she farts.
Jumping up on our bed, fart.
Sitting, farts.
Laying on the floor, fart fart.
I am not kidding.
It probably doesn’t help that in her first year of life she tried desperately (and sometimes succeeded) to eat a Blackberry (the smart phone, not the fruit), prescription eye glasses (mine), toys, and basically anything else she could get her sharp little on… she still has a penchant for tissue.
This happened just the other day:
Nutrience Grain Free Subzero is a Canadian made ancestral diet combining protein-rich kibble and freeze-dried NUTRIBOOST to deliver the nutritional benefits of raw in a convenient & easy to use recipe. Subzero formulations are prepared with fresh, never frozen Canadian sources of meat, poultry, Pacific wild-caught fish and real freeze-dried protein for a superior flavour.
Subzero has four key ingredients that make up NUTRIBOOST each with their own unique nutritional benefits:
- Green-Lipped Mussels – A natural anti-inflammatory to support joint health
- Pacific Cod Liver – A rich source of omega-3 fatty acids for a healthy skin & coat
- Pumpkin – A good source of dietary fiber to support digestion
- Acadian Kelp – A variety of seaweed loaded with natural antioxidants to support a healthy immune system
Subzero is launching at PetSmart Canada so we’re going to give it a try to see if it helps Wacko with her “digestive issues.” I’ll let you know how it goes, hopefully things will quiet down around here!!
What’s in it for you? On Saturday, Nov. 28th, PetSmart locations across Canada are having a special demo event in store. If you bring in a bag of a competitor’s product, you will receive a bag of subzero for free.
Try subzero for zero $$, sounds good to me! “Toot-a-loo” from Wacko.
