Double Dot

On Wednesday evening I stopped into the Fashion Night Out event at Foreign Affair on Barrington street. Personally I think more retailers need to have events like these, and even more I think a bunch of them should do it all at the same time. It would be really fun to bump from one shopping hot spot to another. With door prizes, sparkling wine and refreshments, and a DJ spinning perfect shopping tracks; it doesn’t seem THAT difficult to organize, but then again I wasn’t the one planning it so it’s easy for me to say. Below are some iphone photos I snapped while attending the event, and also my outfit.

Before I show you the photos from the event I need to talk about these little burgundy booties! I was shopping at Walmart picking up tights, and socks (Diva on a Dime I know) when I stumbled on these little booties. Usually I spend a large chunk of chance on my shoes because I’m pretty sure I have the world’s narrowest foot (I think I could win the world record; is there one?) and I really prefer comfort and quality. I tried them on and they were actually really comfortable and CUTE 🙂 So I thought $15 um okay I’d probably spend that on lunch anyway so why not?! They added the perfect pop of color to an otherwise black and white ensemble.

A little bubbly, delicious food finger foods, and a DJ spinning some mad beats what more could you ask for? I took a couple photos of some items that I really liked 🙂 photo #4 is a sweater that looks like confetti cake! I did a terrible job capturing it with my iPhone, but in person it’s actually really cute. Also there were some really amazing Alexander Wang sweat pants, and a hooded black dress that was swoon worthy to say the least. If you are on pose at all you probably recognize this strapping young lad! With over 20 thousand followers it’s easy to see that this guy knows style 🙂 check him out on pose and at greaseandglamour.comI couldn’t stay long at the event because I had to pop over to the library to do some writing coaching with the Dalhousie Varsity team, so with a quick wardrobe change I was ready to go! Below is the photo I posted to pose and instagram follow me @shortpresents for both. Same blouse different look 🙂

Taking an outfit from day to night is easy! You just need to add and subtract items! When you are as busy as I am you need clothing that is very versatile and also a little imagination.  Happy turkey weekend to my Canadian blog readers! Hope you have a lovely time and you share it with family and friends. Make sure you take the time to give thanks! I am thankful for you blog readers! Thanks so much for reading and for your continued support!
Much love,
