HRM Release:
(Thursday, October 28, 2010) – Halifax-Dartmouth – The Halloween
weekend is kicking off with free outdoor theatre in an urban setting.
The classic Ghostbusters movie will air from 7pm – 10pm on October 29th
at Alderney Landing Events Plaza and the event.

“Drive in theatre is new and exciting for a lot of our youth,” says
Paul Forrest, Event Organizer. “It’s all about the experience; you
can get in your car with family and friends, lean your seat back and
turn up the FM radio.”

This is a B.Y.O.S. event (a.k.a. bring your own seat). There are up to
sixty vehicle spots to watch the movie from while the film is projected
on a massive screen. For those who miss out on the drive-in area or
prefer the cool autumn air, we will offer seating in front of the
vehicle locations.

$500 in prizes will be given away during our costume contest, so make
sure you get creative. Also, all in attendance should bring a
non-perishable food item for Feeding others of Dartmouth (FOOD) and help
bury a coffin in treats.

For more information about the drive-in, please call the
Ghostbusters’ infoline at 902-490-6773, or visit
