Halifax District RCMP is investigating a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred in Hacketts Cove.
Yesterday, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Halifax District RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a collision on Peggys Cove Rd. in Hacketts Cove. RCMP officers learned that a Toyota Rav4 and a KTM motorcycle were travelling in opposite directions and negotiating a curve, when they collided.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 47-year-old Dartmouth woman, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital by LifeFlight.
The four occupants of the RAV4, a 42-year-old Bedford woman, two youths and a child, were uninjured.
The investigation is ongoing.
Peggys Cove Rd. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
