RCMP release:
RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is investigating a serious single-vehicle crash that occurred in Hatchet Lake.
On July 12, at approximately 11:25 a.m., RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, fire services, and EHS, responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Prospect Rd. near the 1400 block. RCMP officers learned that a Honda Civic was travelling east on the road when it left the roadway and collided with a tree.
The driver and lone occupant, a 27-year-old Halifax man, suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS LifeFlight.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
Prospect Rd. was closed several hours but have since reopened.
