Driver involved in vehicle/pedestrian collision identified

Police have identified the driver involved in a vehicle/pedestrian collision in Fairview on January 15.

At 8:18 a.m., a 26-year old female was walking in a parking lot of an apartment building in the 3400 block of Dutch Village Road when she was hit by a vehicle, causing her to fall. The male driver stopped to assist the pedestrian into her nearby place of work and stated that he would go park his car and then come back, but he failed to return. The woman sustained non-life threatening injuries to her shoulder as a result of the collision and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

HRP released pictures of the man on January 25, asking anyone with information about the incident and/or the driver to contact police.

On January 26, the man was identified. As a result of the investigation, there is insufficient evidence to issue a ticket.

The police wish to thank the public for their assistance.
