Drug Search of Bar Results in Charges

Three people face charges and police are looking for two more
individuals after two drug searches yesterday in Dartmouth.

As a result of a two-month-long operation, officers assigned to the
HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit conducted a search of Sam’s Place
Beverage Room located on Portland Street in Dartmouth at approximately
11:30 a.m. yesterday. One person was arrested at the scene without
incident and officers seized marijuana, cannabis resin, Oxycontin and
drug paraphernalia from the bar.

Officers then attended a residence in the 100 block of Albro Lake Road
at approximately 12 p.m. A man was arrested in connection with the
Portland Street search and during the arrest, officers observed a
quantity of marijuana in the residence. A woman was also arrested
without incident and a subsequent search was conducted of the residence.
Officers seized a quantity of marijuana, cannabis resin, cannabis resin
oil and drug paraphernalia.

Two women, aged 39 and 52, and a 50-year-old man, all of Dartmouth,
each face a number of charges pertaining to drug trafficking. They are
scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on October 27. Police
are still seeking two additional people in relation to this
investigation.
