A Halifax man faces charges as a result of a drug search last night in Halifax.
At 8:05 p.m. on June 28, members of the Special Enforcement Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, with the assistance of the West Quick Response Unit, executed a search warrant in a residence on Jarvis Lane. As a result of the search, a quantity of cocaine and marijuana were seized along with drug paraphernalia and a sum of cash. Officers arrested one man without incident during the search.
Thirty-two-year-old Michael Raymond Briand of Halifax faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine and possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial court today.
