Drug Search Results in Charges – Dartmouth

Two men and a woman face charges as a result of a drug search executed Sunday night in Dartmouth.

At 9:28 p.m. on March 13, members of the Special Enforcement Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division with the assistance of the East Quick Response Unit, executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 0-100 block of Highfield Park Drive. As a result of the search, a loaded sawed-off shot gun, quantities of cocaine, marijuana and marijuana plants were seized along with drug paraphernalia and a scale. Officers arrested two men and a woman during the search without incident.

Two 20-year-old men and a 21-year-old woman, all from Dartmouth, face criminal code charges of possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition and unsafe storage of a firearm. They also face charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act of possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana and possession of cocaine.

All three are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial court today.
