On Friday Aug 19th the Truro Police Service Criminal Investigation Division, with assistance from patrol and our K9 unit, executed a controlled drug and substances act warrant on a residence on Young St. in Truro.

A quantity of cocaine, money and drug paraphernalia were seized as a result of the search.

A 27-year-old male and a 33- year old female from Truro were arrested.

The male is facing charges of trafficking in cocaine and possession for the purposes of trafficking. He was released to appear in Truro Provincial Court at a later date.

The female was released without charge.
