Halifax, Nova Scotia, July 15, 2010…During the morning hours of July 14th 2010, the RCMP Synthetic Drug Unit along with RCMP and HRP Integrated Drug Section executed a search warrant at a Dartmouth residence in Highfield Park.
Police seized 3, 200 tabs of ecstasy approximately 2.5 pounds of marihuana, 49 rounds of ammunition and a bullet proof vest.
Twenty-four year old Julisa MacDonald and twenty-five year old David Downey, both residents of British Columbia are charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking ecstasy and possession for the purposes of trafficking marihuana under Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Both will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court this morning to face charges.
