Drugs seized at checkpoint following arrest of a possible impaired driver, Digby, N.S.

Charges are pending against a 34-year-old man after a vehicle search yesterday.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., a vehicle driven by a man was checked at an RCMP checkpoint in Digby.

Further investigation led to the arrest of the man for impaired driving. A subsequent search of the vehicle allowed RCMP to seize a quantity drugs.

The man, who is facing drug possession charges, was released from police custody on a Undertaking. He will appear in Digby Provincial Court on November 10th, 2014. The investigation is continuing.
