DUI charges after car rollover in South End Halifax

At approximately 10:55 p.m. on November 27th, 2020 Halifax Regional Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of South Park Street and South Street, Halifax. The vehicle hit a divider between the roadway and the bicycle lane causing the vehicle to roll over. The driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries and was the only occupant of the car.

Halifax Regional Police patrol members attended the scene. As a result of the observations of the patrol members on-scene the driver was arrested for impaired operation of a conveyance.

There was minimal impact on Traffic due to the time of the incident, as a result drivers were diverted for approximately 20 minutes.  

The 23-year-old female driver from Halifax will appear in Provincial court in Halifax at a later date to face charges of impaired operation of a conveyance contrary to section 320.14 of the Criminal Code.
