Members of Halifax District Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have arrested and charged 3 males with Theft Under $5000 after two incidents July 11, 2010.
On Sunday, at 11:53 AM, four (4) males entered the Zellers store at 21 Mic Mac Blvd. and stole a large quantity of DVD's from the electronics section of the store. At 12:19 PM, three (3) of the same males entered the Zellers store at 900 Cole Harbour Road, again stealing a large quantity of videos. They fled the store but were identified by police and were arrested after a brief foot chase. Police recovered approximately $1300 worth of stolen property. The arrest was the result of successful partnerships between Halifax District RCMP, Halifax Regional Police and RCMP Metro Traffic Services.
All three males will each be charged with two counts of Theft Under $5000 and Possession of Stolen Property. Two will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court this morning. A third will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court on August 31, 2010.
