Early Morning Shooting On Lahey Road In Dartmouth

At 2:15 A.M. Halifax Regional Police officers responded to a call of a male who had been shot in the 0-100 block of Lahey Rd. in Dartmouth. 

The victim, a 50 year old male, was located at the rear of an address in this block. He informed the officers that he was walking down Lahey Rd. when he was approached by two males who demanded all of his stuff. At some point during this confrontation one of the males produced a firearm and shot the victim in the torso area. The victim ran up a driveway and yelled for help. The two suspects fled the area on foot. The only description available is that one was a white male and one was a black male. The victim was transported to the QE2 hospital with life-threatening injuries. Halifax Regional Police officers are still currently on scene conducting the investigation.
