East Hants District RCMP is investigating a single vehicle crash that claimed the life of a 21-year-old man last evening.
At approximately 10:32 p.m., East Hants District RCMP, Emergency Health Services and the local Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of crash on Renfrew road, Enfield.
Preliminary investigation determined alcohol was a factor and that the vehicle left the roadway, flipped on its side coming to rest in the ditch. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Enfield, was not injured. The passenger, a 21-year-old man from Enfield passed away at the scene following life-saving efforts by police and EHS. The Driver was arrested for Impaired Driving Causing Death and remains in police custody.
