East Hants District RCMP investigate fatal motor vehicle crash, Nine Mile River, N.S.

East Hants District RCMP are investigating a single vehicle crash with one fatality. At approximately 11:55 a.m., East Hants District RCMP with assistance from Nine Mile River Fire Dept.

At approximately 11:55 a.m., East Hants District RCMP with assistance from Nine Mile River Fire Dept.

and EHS responded to a 911 call of a single vehicle motor vehicle crash on MacPhee Road. Preliminary investigation determined that the lone occupant of a Toyota Yaris lost control of his vehicle and landed on a snowbank. The 58 year-old male driver from Nine Mile River had been driving on MacPhee Road when the vehicle left the road. The driver was taken to the Colchester Regional Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

RCMP believe this incident may have been the result of a medical condition. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
