East Hants District RCMP is investigating a break and enter that occurred at an apartment on Indian Rd at approximately 8:30 p.m. last night.
A preliminary investigation determined that three males forced their way into an apartment and stole a number of items.
The suspects were wearing balaclavas, hoodies and gloves and two of them had knives. Following the break-in, the males left the area in a vehicle.
The residents of the apartment, a 25-year-old male and 27-year-old female, who were home at the time, were not injured and were able to call police.
The investigation is currently ongoing with assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Section. RCMP do not believe this was a random act.
