East Hants RCMP Arrest 2 After Robbery with Violence

East Hants District RCMP have arrested two suspects after a report of an assault with a weapon.
On January 26 at approximately 11:00 p.m., East Hants District RCMP responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at a residence on Mill Rd. A preliminary investigation determined that a 43-year-old male was assaulted by two suspects outside his residence. The male received non-life threatening injuries and the suspects left before the police arrived on scene.
Yesterday afternoon, East Hants District RCMP arrested two suspects without incident outside a residence in Upper Sackville. A 44-year-old male and 26-year-old female are facing charges of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. Both suspects have been released from police custody and are scheduled to appear in Windsor Provincial Court on March 15, 2016.
The investigation is ongoing. Police do not believe this incident is random in nature.
