Easter Monday Shoe Porn: Intern Eden updates her collection

Bamboo.  I got them at one of those weird pop-up Warehouse Clearance stores. LIKE I needed another pair of black pumps.  But ribbons!
L-A: Both Ally and I were incredibly lazy over the weekend. She had dirty martinis and watched stuff about Wills and Kate, while I read a Harlequin for my book club (Taming the Texas Playboy! Yes. It is EXACTLY what you think it’d be like) and then drank wine over dinner with friends. So, our plan was to phone it in with this:

Hoppy Easter! (or some equally cheesy pun)

But then I remembered that Intern Eden sent us some updates to her shoe porn collection. Exciting! So, your Easter treat is her shoes, done all artsy with the photoshop.

Steve Madden. These were passed on to me by my lovely friend Emily, whom they do not fit properly.  I will wear them with polkadot dresses this summer and be a pinup girl!

Steve Madden.  I am gonna wear these all summer, I think – they were on sale at Scarpino on Queen West and they are going to go with everything. I might even wear them with shorts.

Dolce and Gabanna.  Vintage, from Etsy.  They are just a smidge too big so I might eventually pass them on but ohhh.  I DO like them.

Coach.  From a vintage shop on Queen West, because I find sandals I like almost never, and now I have something to wear with black dresses to punch them up and dress them down!

Kate Spade.  I found these at David’s in Yorkville in January, and my heart went pitter patter and I got a little short of breath, and they were marked wayyy down, but I just couldn’t.  I couldn’t spend $200 on The World’s Most Impractical Shoes.  I mean, they are bright blue satin and have four inch heels. They feel great, but they aren’t exactly walking shoes, and the second they get rain or mud on them they will be ruined. So I said goodbye.

And then on April 1, it was my kissing anniversary with my husband, and I went to pick out shoes to wear out to dinner with him, and there they were on my shoe shelf.  Awwwwwwwwwww.

(ummm…who doesn’t love a guy who gives his wife impractical, but completely lovely shoes on their kissing anniversary? Well played, Mr. Downstairs. Well played).

(FYI on the Mr. Downstairs: Intern Eden used to live downstairs from me and her husband has the same name as my husband and they both did MAs in English. So, other than looking nothing alike, it was almost impossible to tell our husbands apart. So they are Mr. Upstairs and Mr. Downstairs, even though neither of us live in that building anymore. Or the same city).
