echemist UK haul

Don’t you always wish there is an easier way to get beauty products that aren’t from where you live at more reasonable prices?
It was a sad day when I realized Bourjois is a drugstore brand in the UK (where the Healthy Mix Serum foundation is £11 – roughly CAD17, with 3 for 2 promotion often) while in Canada, it is a prestige brand (the same foundation is CAD27, hardly any promotions). Enough said.

When I heard about echemist and their prices (on top of free international shipping), I gasped. Their £10 off £50 promotion at the time was icing on the cake, an order is in order, is it not? 🙂 It took less than 2 weeks to arrive, everything was in good condition. Let me show you what I got.

First is my beloved Vichy Dermablend Corrective foundation, the best full coverage foundation I have ever tried. I got backups of my shade #35 Sand, and #25 Nude for my sis. Regular price on the site was around $23 with VAT. After promotion and VAT deduction, I paid $15 a bottle, half of Canadian retail price.
Then I got Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, reg. around $14 on the site, paid $9. I’d assume that this is the earlier version of the Healthy Mix serum foundation, correct me if I’m wrong. Shade selection was limited, I got #53 Light Beige, not my exact match, but I can make it work.

The last thing was Max Factor Panstik in #14 Cool Copper. Since we don’t have this brand here, and I heard good thing about this product, I didn’t pass up a chance to try it. Reg. $11, I paid around $8 for it.
So if you are looking for a reasonable source of products, I hope this post is helpful. Their customer service was great to answer all my questions about shade availability and VAT. I would definitely order from them again. And I’m not sponsored/ affiliated, paid for everything myself.
