Second Halifax school evacuated Monday after bomb threat

A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of École secondaire du Sommet on Larry Uteck Blvd this afternoon. Halifax Regional Police were notified immediately and are currently investigating the threat while ensuring the school premises are secure.

The school says they will keep parents and guardians informed of any updates as the situation develops.

This is the second school evacuation in HRM today, with Halifax West High School having afternoon classes cancelled after a threat was discovered there.

Police are investigating.
