Today, Nova Scotia, along with most provinces and territories in Canada, will experience a test of the Alert Ready system, Canada’s National Public Alerting System.

This test, set for 1:55 PM local time, will send out a test message across television, radio, and compatible wireless devices.

The purpose of this test is to simulate an emergency alert, featuring the Canadian Alert Attention Signal, and to remind the public that no action is required as it is just a test.
