At 650 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at Spring Garden Rd and Barrington St., upon arrival a vehicle had struck a light pole on the south east corner of the intersection resulting in severe front end damage.
Before striking the pole it hit a pedestrian who was crossing in the cross walk on Barrington St. During this entire incident the vehicle was unoccupied, witnesses did not see anyone driving the car. After locating the owner of the vehicle it was determined he had parked the car on Spring Garden Rd near Brunswick St, when he returned his vehicle was gone , he assumed it had been stolen. It appears the vehicle was left in gear and it rolled from this location to the accident scene. The pedestrian was not injured and the owner re covered his vehicle.
